GRANKIA FG5-12 valve regulated lead acid 12v alarm battery 5ah is made with a hardened ABS plastic to protect against spills and leaks.
The charging reaction converts the lead sulfate at the negative electrode to lead. At the positive terminal the reaction converts the lead to lead oxide. As a by-product of this reaction, hydrogen is evolved.
The acid inside is absorbed between the plates and thereby immobilized by a very fine fiberglass mat. This along with the valve regulated, spill-proof design of our batteries allows trouble-free, safe operation in any orientation.
